Bamboo Shirasaya Sword

The shirasaya Sword literally means white scabbard. The Shirasaya sword is normally a plain wooden Japanese blade consisting of a saya (scabbard) and tsuka (hilt). They were externally featureless save for the needed sayagaki (blade information) was also present.

Our Bamboo Shirasaya is made with the traditional swords in mind. The handle and scabbard are made from polished hardwood with bamboo etchings. The sword is 38" long with a 26.5" 440 stainless steel blade. The blade fits snuggly in the sheath.
