It seems like every day the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) bans
another item and says that you cannot carry it onto a
plane. A lot of the items make logical sense (e.g. do
I really need to carry a katana onboard with me?), but
many of the banned items are just plain silly.
Plus, it is always a bad day when you have checked your
bags, waited for over an hour in the security line and
then realize that you forgot to take your favorite pocket
knife out of your pocket and put it in your checked bag.
One of our owners, Kurt, seems to always forget to leave
his pocket knife and/or sling baton at home.
One thing is very clear to us at Extremely Sharp and ESKnives: Pretty much everything we sell cannot be carried onto an airplane or taken through a security checkpoint. By the same notion, anyone carrying a pocket knife, baton, martial arts weapons, etc. is also banned from the airports. Thus, we bring you our Banned in Airports shirts.
Why 9,502 airports? That is how many major airports are
recognized in the world. Whether you are flying out of
Heathrow, LAX, Chicago's O'hare, Seoul's Incheon, Huntsville,
AL's Jones or anywhere with a security checkpoint, if
you are a fan of knives, swords or martial arts, you may
be considered a weapon.
This is our favorite shirt, and it has gone over great
throughout the community. Pick yours up and let the
world know you are banned…
