Why this sword is called a Turtle Sword is beyond me. I have no idea. But that is what it is called. Maybe it is called a Turtle sword because of it's impressive leather shoulder strap, giving one the feeling of a turtle when carrying this sword on the back.

Never the less, this is a cool sword. Our Turtle sword is 40" long with a 28" blade. The blade is made from strong 440 stainless. The handle is wrapped with end cap, tassel and square tsuba. The black sheath is complimented with a leather shoulder strap.
