This Twin Sword Anata set is something else.  This set sits well in one sheath on your back.  Reach back with both hands and you have a ninja sword in each hand.  These swords are 25" overall with 17" blades with 7.5" handles.  The swords are full tang and when resting in their sheath make a whole Anata Tsuba. The handles are nylon wrapped.  These swords are made from 440 black enamel steel.  The blades are double edged. The sheath is made from heavy webbed nylon with a strap for carrying on your back.

Can be used as one sword because the handles and blades are held together with magnets.

But the great design of these swords is the double sword advantage.  Using two weapons, one in each hand, during combat is known as dual wielding.   There is controversy on the advantages of dual wielding with swords.   One school  believes in the validity of two swords and the other school points out the difficulty in mastering two swords and a lack of advantage the extra swords gives the fighter.   There are historical records that support dual wielding of swords, especially in the weapon based martial arts.  The use of a companion weapon is sometimes employed in European martial arts and fencing.  The Ronin were said to have conceived of the idea of a particular style of swordsmanship involving the use of two swords. You can carry these swords on your back.

Due the positioning of the body and the need to maintain balance, the use of two weapons requires the practitioner to use one weapon offensively and the other defensively. To perform an attack by the defensive weapon after the first, the user needs to perform a separate and distinct action. The main advantage of using two weapons is the user can use one as a holding weapon after contact is made and use the other to attack the open area of the opponent.
